Following the 2006-07 season the club was

re-formed on the 13th May 2007 as

A.F.C. Belles.

Due to the loss of our playing facilities at Stanley Street the Under-10's squad moved to near neighbours Hinckley United, to form United's new Under-11's team.

During the 2007-08 season no teams represented

the Belles on the football field.

However, we were out and about the

Borough of Hinckley & Bosworth

visiting some of our local schools to help

with coaching the girls.

We are pleased to have been associated with many local schools over the years and to have been of assistance to Burbage and Barwell Junior Schools with their approval of F.A. Charter Standard.

We now look forward to a new chapter at the Belles

with the formation of the

AFC Belles Mini-Soccer League.

(F.A. Qualified Coaches)

The ethos of fair-play and enjoyment for all has always been the Clubs priority.

Three County League ‘Fair-play Awards’ in three consecutive seasons for the Belles endorses this philosophy.

Ex. Belles!

Where are they now?

Madison Young
2005 - 2008

I got involved in club football by a friend of mine. His dad was the manager of the Westfield Wanderers boys Under-8’s team. I then joined Westfield, and played for Westfield Wanderers boys team when I was just seven years old. When I became ten years old I had to move to a girls team.

I met John Powers at Burbage Junior School when he came to do some after school football coaching. He asked me to come and play for Barwell Belles in 2005. I played for John & Florence from the start of the 2005-06 season in their Under-13's team, my first game was away at Countesthorpe. I stayed with the Belles until season 2007-2008. I then moved to play for Leicester City Ladies at the start of this season (2008-09).

The advice that I would give to girls in local schools is to always enjoy playing football and always listen to your coaches and manager because they like to help you what ever way possible.

Madison Young

Thank-you Madison, it was a pleasure to have you in our team and wearing the Belles colours. All the best to you, over at Leicester Ladies.

John & Florence
